Chelsea & Tom 2/9/17

You may remember Chelsea & Tom from their engagement session back in June (and the front cover of August's Look Local magazine) and how much I was looking forward to their wedding day. It was clear just how much they loved each other and getting married really was the icing on the cake for them.

The big day was beautifully sunny and warm. I arrived at Beaconsfield Registry Office a little early and waited in the street for Tom to arrive with his son and best man.

After a few photos, they were all rushed inside to wait as Chelsea didn't want Tom to see her before the ceremony!

Shortly afterwards, Chelsea arrived. I know I say this about all of my brides but she looked absolutely STUNNING in her gorgeous lace gown.

Soon, it was time for the ceremony to begin. First to enter the room were the gorgeous bridesmaids (I think little E stole the show!)...

... and then Chelsea made her big entrance, looking very excited (I love this photo)

The ceremony was simple and heartfelt with laughter all around.

Soon we were introduced to the new Mr & Mrs Carter!

After the obligatory confetti shot, we moved on to the The Ivy House in Chalfont St Giles, it's the most beautiful little pub with lots of interesting details. They had done the most amazing job with the table setting, it was breathtaking!

We used the lovely outdoor space to take some more formal photos (and to enjoy the bouncy castle!)

I then left the new Mr & Mrs Carter and their friends and family to enjoy the rest of their day. Many congratulations to Tom & Chelsea and thank you for letting me be part of your celebrations.

Product review - Saal Digital's Photobook XT

You may remember that I tried another of Saal Digital's products earlier this year - the Alu-Dibond wall decor - and so I was keen to experiment with their range of photobooks. As mentioned in my review of the wall decor, it's hard for photographers to try out potential products without investing substantial amounts of money and the scheme with Saal allows me to try new products for minimal cost.

I looked through the range of photobooks offered in Saal's design software and decided to the try the 10 page 19cm x 19cm Photobook XT. I already offer larger, more expensive photobooks to my clients and wanted to investigate a more affordable option. The software was easy to use and I was able to quickly add photos and text to my design and complete my order. I was very pleased to receive the book just 4 days later, a very prompt service with an hour's delivery slot advised beforehand.

The colours are bright and true to my original photographs and the glossy finish is very attractive.

I deliberately placed some photos across the centre fold as I wanted to check if the pages truly were "lay-flat" and I was satisfied with the result.

The photobook was a brilliant way to see my photos in print and to be able to tell the story of my wedding photography. Again, I am very pleased with this product from Saal Digital.
